Bill Siembieda
Expertise: Preparation of multi-hazard mitigation plans at the municipal and state levels, master-planned land development, project and program evaluation, specific plan-making, local urban economic development policy, and strategic planning for public and non-profit organizations.
Research Interests: Long-term disaster recovery theory, affordable housing policy, sustainable urban management practices, post-modern urbanism, international planning in Latin America and the Pacific Rim.

Edmond Saliklis
Expertise: Structural Mechanics, History of Structures, Structural Art. Worked as Post-Doctoral Research Engineer at the USDA Forest Products Lab and as a Design Engineer at FLAD and Associates. Holds a patent in seven countries. Works on the Cal Poly campus teaching undergraduate and graduate courses to architectural engineering students, and has developed unique pedagogical materials for architecture and construction management students. Registered Civil Engineer in California.
Research Interests: Recently funded research includes "Rapid Assembly Disaster Response Shelters made from Recycled Plastic Materials," funded by the California Central Coast Research Partnership and was Co-Project Investigator on an NSF research grant in 2003. Has over 30 peer-reviewed publications and over $400,000 in funded research. Member of the International Scientific Committee for the Second International Conference on Structures and Architecture.

Tom Fowler
Expertise: Interdisciplinary community design-build projects, building design process, integration of advancement computer technology into the building design process, advanced building design digital modeling, interdisciplinary approaches to building design, portable virtual reality systems.

Abe Lynn
Expertise: Analysis and design of large-scale structural engineering projects for seismic demands, seismic evaluation of existing reinforced concrete structures, post-earthquake reconnaissance.
Research Interests: Seismic behavior of reinforced concrete structures, earthquake engineering, sustainable practice in structural engineering (particularly in reinforced concrete), historical aspects of reinforced concrete construction and design, scholarship of teaching.
